    Chitosan Oligosaccharide is a kind of oligosaccharide product with a degree of polymerization between 2 and 20, which is degraded by special biological enzyme technology (also some was produced by Physical and Chemical Technology). It is a low molecular weight product with good water solubility, great function and high biological activity. It has many unique functions, such as high solubility that chitosan does not have, completely soluble in water, easy to be absorbed and utilized by organisms, and so on. Its effect is 14 times greater than that of chitosan.

    Chitin is synthesized from N-acetylglucosamine by hydrolysis β- 1,4-glycoside linked polymer. After decalcification with strong acid, deacetylation with concentrated alkali, chitosan was obtained, and then degraded into low molecular weight chitosan oligosaccharide by enzyme.

     Chitosan oligosaccharide can effectively improve the yield of fruits and vegetables, control diseases and pests, and increase the beneficial bacteria of soil and biological fertilizer. Chitooligosaccharide is widely used in agriculture because of its special effect of medicine and fertilizer.

Chitosan oligosaccharides can induce crop plants to produce a large number of resistant substances in a short time, which can greatly improve the immunity of plants. Once the pathogen invades, these resistant substances can be eliminated from multiple targets and have a lasting effect, which is called "plant vaccine" by farmers. The resistance of crops to Botrytis cinerea, Colletotrichum, Fusarium wilt, root rot, virus disease and other diseases increased after application of chitooligosaccharide.

It can be used as seed treatment agent for many food and vegetable crops. It can improve the germination rate of seeds, enhance the disease resistance of seedlings, promote the growth of crops and increase the yield of crops.

Chitosan oligosaccharide has good film-forming property and selective permeability, which can change the gas composition in fruit tissue and reduce evaporation loss, so as to inhibit fruit decay. In addition to its broad-spectrum antibacterial properties, it can be applied to the preservation of fruits and vegetables.

Chitosan oligosaccharides can regulate the closing and opening of plant genes and induce plants to secrete resistant enzymes, which can not only promote the activation of plant cells and stimulate plant growth, but also increase the self-defense ability against diseases and pests and reduce the damage of pathogenic bacteria, especially pathogenic fungi to plants.

Chitosan oligosaccharide can change the soil flora, promote the growth of beneficial microorganisms, improve the soil environment, release the fixed trace elements in the soil, so as to achieve the purpose of increasing yield.
